60th Anniversary School Carnival

On the 31th of July, a carnival was held as one of the special events to celebrate Catholic High School's 60th anniversary.
That's right! A fun-filled, exciting and cheery carnival, right in our school! Every CHS-ian had contributed and worked hard to make the carnival a wonderful and unforgettable one, as it was an once in a ten years' event. Every nook and corner of the school were used for games, food stalls, exhibitions and many more. There were even a haunted house and an escape room!

The carnival started at 9.00 am. During carnival, we used three classrooms for an exhibition to introduce our musical instruments. We wanted the visitors to know more about our instruments and of course, our band. We also performed a total of three pieces in the school hall. Brass and percussion section performed two pieces in the morning, while the third piece was performed by the whole band in the afternoon. Between our performances, each section recital their ensemble pieces in the classrooms where everyone was welcomed to stop by and listen. Also, we tried something new this year and performed a flash mob. The performers blended into the crowd and there they performed a total of four ensemble pieces.

The carnival ended at 4.00 pm. It was a fun and memorable experience to be involved in our school's carnival. A very good job to all CHS-ians and a big thank you to the visitors whom have fun with us during the carnival.
