The annual Music camp was held at Felda
Residence Trolak, Perak from 9th to 12th of June this
year. We were really fortunate to be able to attend workshops given by the
prestigious Thai tutor, Mr. Surapol. He gave us really useful advice that will
serve us well for the days to come. The band camp was filled with tons of fun
as the members bonded together. After the 4 days 3 nights camp, we organized a
mini concert dedicated to parents of members who have worked tirelessly behind
the screens. It was really tired, no doubt, but the band camp was indeed
something that each member will never forget!

Happy Teachers Day!
On the 22nd of May, we performed for the Karnival Hari Guru Daerah Petaling Utama to celebrate teachers day. We performed 3 songs titled Putra Putri, Hujan di Tengah Hari and Two Worlds to a huge crowd of teachers and students which were gathered at the Dataran Petaling jaya.. And on the 23rd, a drumline was sent to lead the procession for the officiating of the event. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our beloved tutor, Sir Eric and all our teacher advisors for all their help and guidance they have given us!

Hari Sukan
It is once again time for our annual sports day! This year, it was held on the 25th of April. Under the watchful eye of
their seniors, intensive practices were held to prepare the new members for
what would be their FIRST parade experience. And leading this year’s parade
will be the newly appointed deputy drum major of 2014/2015… Cheah Ho Kar Khai! This year, we also had the opportunity to perform a static performance of Two Worlds with our colourguards!

Motorcycles and Music
This year’s International Motorcycle Festival was held at Stadium Bukit Jalil on the 20th of December and we were invited to perform for it. There were exhibits that stretched as far as the eye could see along the Bukit Jalil carpark which featured some of the best motorcycles available on the market. We lead the parade to welcome the VIPs and had the honour of playing the national anthem at the launching of the event.

Walk the Talk
A charity walk organized by SIROM (Soroptimist International Region of Malaysia) was held on the 30th of November 2014 to raise awareness to stop violence against women.
The walk was lead by our very own CHS Band which started at Taman Jaya and ended at Universiti Malaya. Vintage cars and scores of eager walkers aiming to raise awareness made up quite a procession along the road to Universiti Malaya.
And we were also featured in this article by The Star!

MERDEKA!
All draped in traditional wear, bearing the diversity of cultures the nation
hosts were our members who lead the contingents of the various uniform bodies
into the hall for the Hari Kemerdekaan Celebration on the 22nd of
August. Signifying the unity of the 3 races of our nation, like how the various
instruments of a band, all with diverse tonal qualities and textures are able
to meld together as one to create beautiful music. After the procession, the
colourguards were the first to take the stage and put on a dazzling performance
to the theme of The Incredibles with a patriotic twist!
